Camp, Farm and Family

Good-Bye Aunt D and Uncle B!

Aunt D and Uncle B left this afternoon.  It was a really good visit! We went to Silver Dollar City on Tuesday, Thursday we went swimming, and yesterday Meg Claire and I went to the mall with Aunt D. Most of the rest of the time we stayed home and did farm stuff.  🙂

After they left, I started mowing the yard (and orchard). It was about 1 o’clock when I started, but I didn’t get much done, it was too hot!  I wore a tank top to, well, basically get a tan for camp.  Last year, I had my “farmer’s” tan and burned very badly!  I really don’t want  to repeat that this year!  But even in the short time I was out there, I am now burned… Oh, well.  Hopefully it will go to tan before camp!  That was the whole point, to get a tan now so I won’t get burned so bad at camp.  But, do understand, I’m not one to tan, just so I’m tan.  Honestly!

After a while, I stopped mowing and we went to the library and when we got back, and after dinner, I finished the yard.

Ouch. Ok, I’m going to put my sunburned (But hopefully won’t but later) self to bed. 🙂

  1. Sounds like fun!
Well, minus the sunburning part. Aw, you don’t want a farmer’s tan? I got a farmer’s tan…right before Dallas’s wedding! Hehe 😀 So what if my ‘sleeveless’ dress revealed that just a wee bit. Or a lotta bit. People did comment on it… 😛
I hope it tans for you! Mine has. I tan every summer usually. Naturally. Not on purpose! Hehe, that’s not me.

    1. Haha, I know what you mean. 😀 Burning = no good! Aloe vera plants work really well though, to help heal the sunburn.
